World of Warcraft Herbalism

In this World of Warcraft Herbalism Guide I will provide you with maps that show you the best routes for running in each area to find herbs.  I recommend that you get the Gatherer Addon if you don't already have it.  It helps you keep the locations of all of your previous finds.  You can always find it here

Remember, World of Warcraft Herbalism can be a very lucrative profession because herbs are required for both Alchemy and Inscription... This means that you can really cash in on the Auction House by selling any extra Herbs that you collect and don't need.

First, go to an Herbalism Trainer and learn Apprentice Herbalism.  If you aren't sure where one is, you can always ask a guard in a major city and they'll tell you where to go.

While leveling Herbalism you will learn Lifeblood, which will increase in power as you continue leveling.

Remember to ALWAYS have your Find Herbs tool on while leveling!

Find Herbs

Some Helpful Tips:  Use 'Click to Move' in your Interface->Mouse options. It will let you click an herb off in the distance and it will send your character there and have him/her loot on arrival. Very convenient for looting. You can even click to loot an herb while mounted, and you will be auto unmounted on arrival.

At 150, learn Expert Herbalism from your trainer.  Follow the routes on the maps by clicking the links below (will open in a new window) and pick all the herbs you see!  You will mainly be looking for [Bruiseweed] , [Wild Steelbloom], [Kingsblood] , [Stranglekelp] , [Liferoot]

170-210

At 200, learn Artisan Herbalism.  Below you will find links to the map circuits that I suggest.  You'll be focusing on:  [Kingsblood] , [Liferoot] , [Fadeleaf] , [Khadgar's Whisker], [Goldthorn]

  • Arathi Highlands
  • Stranglethorm Vale - If you're on a PVP server you may want skip this area.  It's filled with high level players just waiting to gank you.  Of course, you probably already know this if you're on a PVP server.

We'll continue on with our World of Warcraft Herbalism Guide on the following page.  Follow these maps and you should have your skill maxed out in the shortest amount of time possible.
