For the complete beginner, Leatherworking is the profession of making items and armor using leather in World of Warcraft. The classes that benefit most from this profession are usually Rogues and Druids since they wear leather armor. Shaman and Hunters can also use items created with leatherworking although they use mail armor.

One of the best ways to make money using this Leatherworking Leveling Guide is to sell the items you make using the Auction House. There are items (such as the Hillman's Cloak) that characters will need for quests while leveling. Another great thing to sell are armor kits.

The first thing you'll need to do to get started with this Leatherworking Leveling Guide is train to become a leatherworker.  Visit a Leatherworking Trainer and learn Apprentice Leatherworking .

 1-65

• 1-20 - 19 x[Light Leather] - 57 Ruined Leather Scraps
• 20-30 or 1-30 - 10 x[Light Armour Kit] - 10 Light Leather. If you don't have any Ruined Leather Scraps, you can just make these from 1-30
• 30-35 - 5 x [Handstitched Leather Cloak] - 10 Light Leather, 5 Coarse Thread
• 35-65 - 40 x [Cured Light Hide] - 40 Light Hide, 40 Salt. Save these, you will need to use them later.

 65-135

Learn Journeyman Leatherworking from your trainer.

• 65-85 - 20 x [Embossed Leather Gloves] - 60 Light Leather, 40 Coarse Thread
• 85-110 - 25 x [Fine Leather Belt] - 150 Light Leather, 50 Coarse Thread
• 110-115 - 5 x [Medium Armor Kit] - 20 Medium Leather, 5 Coarse Thread
• 115-125 - 10 x [Dark Leather Boots] - 40 Medium Leather, 20 Fine Thread
• 125-135 - 10 x [Dark Leather Cloak] - 80 Medium Leather, 10 Fine Thread, 10 Gray Dye

135-200

Learn Expert Leatherworking from your trainer.

• 135-145 - 10 x [Toughened Leather Armor] - 100 Medium Leather, 20 Cured Light Hides, 20 Fine Thdread
• 145-150 - 5 x [Hillman's Leather Gloves] - 70 Medium Leather, 20 Fine Thread
• 150-165 - 30 x [Cured Heavy Hide] - 30 Heavy Hide. 
• 165-170 - 5 x [Heavy Armour Kit] - 25 Heavy Leather. If you're really lucky, you'll hit 170 while making your Cured Heavy Hides. If you do, skip this part :o)
• 170-180 - 10 x [Guardian Pants] - 120 Heavy Leather, 20 Bolts of Silk Cloth
• 180-190 - 10 x [Barbaric Shoulders] - 80 Heavy Leather, 10 Cured Heavy Hide
• 190-210 - 20 x [Guardian Gloves] - 80 Heavy Leather, 20 Cured Heavy Hide, 20 Silken Thread
